Alan Cohen

Alan is a Spanish-American accredited reporter and photojournalist based in Madrid. He previously lived in Oregon, U.S.A, where he covered politics and policy for several award-winning outlets. Now, back in Spain, he balances freelance work with managing a hyperlocal newspaper in his home neighborhood of Barajas and completing a legal education to better guide his journalism.

In the US, he has worked with Salem Reporter, Keizertimes and the Oregon Capital Chronicle, and his work has been republished by OPB and The Oregonian. In Spain, he has worked with La Marea, InfoLibre and Confidencial Digital.

Alan is available for hire as a reporter and photographer anywhere in Spain, and is open to traveling abroad for work.
